Isn't the title of the post very alluring. Given the fact that the apartment costs in mumbai are touching the sky, owning an apartment has become a distant dream in the city and more so for the average earning guy. It is not that the prices have suddenly come down steeply. Its only that there are some wonderful projects that have come for the low income group. If we take into consideration a low income household in mumbai with a monthly earning of 10-20k, their annual income would be 1.2 lacs - 2.4 lacs. There isn't any housing available around that figure, as 10-15 lacs is more like the rock bottom price for anything available even some distance away from the city ; and nothing is available below that.
